ABOUT ME…

As a multi-disciplinary Artist and Musician, I am forever exploring the cross section of the two…

ART My fine art studio practice has been a constant in my life. Drawing was my first form of meditation and to this day provides such an instant bridge to flow state that I access almost every day with my “Morning Circles” practice.  Painting and more recently printmaking have been a steady expression and my body of work that spans well over two decades, has been in many solo and group exhibitions, with collectors ranging worldwide.

With many successful years as a freelance illustrator, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a breadth of exciting commission projects. Around 2011 I started to make hand drawn tour posters and album artwork for my friends bands as a fun passion project. It soon caught on, and I quickly became established in the niche world of ‘rock poster art’. I’ve created over 100 posters, album covers, logo and merch designs for clients ranging from well known regional bands to Grammy  award winning Legacy acts.

Other Client work includes multiple illustrated books, identity branding, product design, murals, story-boarding and props creation for short films/music videos. I love to nurture the spark of creativity in others and give back to my community through occasional instructing in various arts education programs, and projects for youth and adults.

MUSIC Growing in tandem with my visual art, I’ve spent most my life making music. While I’ve been playing drums since I could hold two wooden kitchen spoons, my musical expression quickly expanded into other instruments, and ultimately singing, songwriting, composing, and producing. From playing snare on the drumline in my high school marching band competitions, to college jazz / latin ensambles, to studio session work, to well over a decade recording and touring as one half of the rock-duo band Sea At Last, I’ve been fortunate enough to have my music take me many amazing places with so many great people.

After a nearly five year performing hiatus, I moved from the west coast back to my hometown mountains of Montana and returned to making music. I am attempting to meld together all my areas of knowledge in songwriting, composing and visual art, into a new self titled solo project. I am really excited about this new direction and plan to release music with a visual component in the winter of 2024.

LIFE When not making things indoors, I like to spend a lot of time outdoors, hiking in the mountains, swimming in cold alpine lakes, camping with my surrogate dog companion and generally attempting to become a human sized sponge to all the simple beauty around me. Hobbies include traditional archery, obsessively tending to my house plants, weird wizard shenanigans and non-stop dad jokes.
